Why static homes & caravans need specialist aerial installation

Caravans behave very differently from brick‑built homes when it comes to TV reception. Their lower mounting height reduces line‑of‑sight to transmitters, while metal cladding can block or reflect signals. Many holiday parks sit in rural or coastal areas where signal strength is naturally weaker. A specialist installation ensures the aerial is positioned, secured and amplified correctly, giving you stable reception even in challenging environments.

Key challenges:

  • Lower aerial height

  • Metal cladding interference

  • Rural or coastal transmitter distance

  • Wind exposure

  • Multi‑room distribution needs

🔧
How the installation works

Every installation begins with a quick site assessment to determine the best mounting position and transmitter alignment. The aerial is then fitted using reinforced brackets and aligned with professional meters. The amplifier and splitter are installed, existing TV points are connected, and the system is fully tested and fine‑tuned for weather resilience. Before leaving, we ensure everything is working perfectly.

Process:

  • Site assessment

  • Aerial mounting & alignment

  • Amplifier & splitter setup

  • Connection of existing TV points

  • Full signal test

  • Final checks & demonstration

Before & after: what you can expect

A properly installed caravan aerial can dramatically improve your viewing experience. Before installation, many caravans suffer from pixelation, missing channels or dropouts during bad weather. After installation, you can expect a strong, stable signal with a full channel lineup and reliable performance across multiple rooms (where existing sockets allow).

Typical improvements:

  • Stronger, more stable signal

  • Fewer dropouts in bad weather

  • More channels available

  • Reliable multi‑room performance
